Tidy Auto Refresh is a browser extension that reloads pages on a timer. It is built to collect as close to nothing as possible.
Your timer settings (refresh intervals, per-site auto-start rules, and preferences) are stored locally in your browser using the browser's extension storage. They never leave your device. The extension contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no remote code. It does not read, collect, or transmit the content of the pages you visit.
storage saves your settings locally. alarms keeps timers reliable when the browser puts the extension to sleep. activeTab lets the popup see the title and address of the tab you are currently on — only while you have the popup open, and only for that tab. The optional tabs permission is requested only if you enable per-site auto-start rules (a Pro feature), because matching a rule requires seeing page addresses; if you never enable that feature, it is never requested.
Pro upgrades are processed by ExtensionPay and Stripe. When you choose to upgrade, ExtensionPay handles the checkout and stores the email address you provide to manage your licence; the extension only queries ExtensionPay to check whether your copy is licensed. We never see or store your card details. See the ExtensionPay privacy policy and the Stripe privacy policy.
We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties, other than the payment processing described above. There is nothing else to share.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
